ad-in kids provides an exciting opportunity for children to learn tennis and have a great time doing it. Since it was founded by Linda Denis in 1988, ad-in kids has grown exponentially each year, adding new students and expanding to more schools, camps and after-school programs, first in New York City and now throughout New Jersey. Born out of a need to provide on-site tennis for childrens facilitiesprivate and public schools, day camps and Ysad-in kids offers indoor classes that are open to the public. Inquire about our Birthday Party and Private Lessons options! ad-in kids tennis for children in NYC and NJ specializes in kids tennis instruction in groups for children ages 38, using safe, age-appropriate drills designed to build confidence and self-esteem. Our philosophy is fun to the max. The main goal is to give kids a positive first experience with tennis so that as they grow, so will their love of the sport. Tennis students are split into two age-groups. Studentteacher ratios are low, and the kids receive loads of personal attention from instructors. Sessions are lively, and drills are changed every few minutes to hold the childrens interest. We provide children with a solid foundation of the basics of tennis. Children ages 35 will develop handeye coordination and motor skills and will learn the basics, including the forehand, volley, overhead and footwork. The group setting helps the preschoolers develop social skills. Kids 68 perform drills that continue to sharpen their handeye coordination and motor skills, and they progress to learning tennis fundamentals through both competitive and non-competitive games. In addition to instruction about rules and scoring, ad-in kids focuses on teaching good sportsmanship and having loads of fun. We supply all equipment. The equipment is age-appropriate: free-standing nets, small rackets and foam balls. All instructors are trained and supervised by USPTA pro Linda Denis. Before establishing ad-in kids in 1988, Linda taught at the Brooklyn Racket Club and managed The Great American Tennis Club. She later taught adults and juniors at Central Park Tennis. It was there she began the first childrens tennis program. Linda took her program into nursery schools in New York City and was the first to bring in-house tennis instruction to childrens educational and recreational facilities in the New York City area. The drills and methods Linda developed at Central Park Tennis and refined through the years make ad-in kids what it is today. Since 1988, Linda and her staff have taught tens of thousands of children ages 38 in private and public schools, day camps, Ys and health clubs throughout New York and New Jersey. Lindas pioneering techniques for childrens tennis instruction have attracted the attention of The New York Times and The New Tennis Magazine Show on the Sports Channel. Linda studied with Dennis Van der Meer, president and founder of the US Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR), and is certified by the US Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).
